I rarely see elk games blow up and probably would have rather taken a gamble with a Hacksaw or Pragmatic game. Hacksaw is high volatility but big potential while pragmatic usually give 25-50x minimum win in the bonus with a chance to blow up.
Doesn't the casino in question display a house-edge for each game? If so, the choice is clear: don't play slots at all, but if you have to for some reason - choose the one with the lowest house-edge.
But if they don't provide the info on the HE, I'd steer clear of such games/casinos.
