34-year-old Gordon Hayward announced his retirement.
Gordon Hayward played for the Jazz, Celtics, Hornets and OKC teams in his 14-year career in the NBA.
I remember he had his best seasons with the Utah Jazz. After the Utah Jazz, his career started to decline.
Just when his career was on a good run and about to ascend to its peak, that injury in Boston changed his career completely, and he never came back. I remember Boston was a favorite ring contender with Irving during that time. Another 'what if' player whose career was ruined by injury. His career became quiet after that; it seems like he hadn't overcome what happened mentally.
Sadly that’s the risk of being an Athlete that’s why they need to protect their body at all cost so that they can play long term like what Lebron keep doing using his flops trick on his defense to avoid physical contact.
It’s very hard to recover on Hayward fractured since it can be felt even it’s healed due to the impact when he is playing. I remember his very promising game when he is on Jazz with Gobert. He should just stick to Jazz in able to capitalize being the main man instead of being trade on Celtics for contending the ring.
