Once again Arsenal have secured a quality player and I think the decision to sign Mikel Merino is the right one. This will give Arsenal a much more creative midfield and Mikel Arteta a lot of variety in attack. I still remember Mikel Merino scoring one of the important goals when he was with Spain in the Euros and since then I think he is an underrated player who is rarely noticed.

The fee is much more affordable considering Arsenal have no competition for Mikel Merino's services and I don't think the fee from Real Sociedad is too big to increase profits. What is clear is that the relationship between Arsenal and Real Sociedad will be better in the future and I can't wait for another transfer from Arsenal that will be even more surprising.
Merino is going to really be a good addition to Arsenal,and  with the sale of Smith Rowe already from the club,Merino will be a very quality signing judging from his performance in the Euro.He plays a similar pattern of football like that of Granit Xhaka who left the club last season and the club had struggled to get a replacement for him.
Merinos signing will really boster Arsenal's midfield,and couple with the fact that he will operete from the left flang,it will make Martinelli or Trosard get more goals next season.
The Spanish team, which won Euro 2024 this year, was scrutinized by the most popular teams in Europe. Merino was one of them. Arsenal actually made a very important transfer by adding him to their squad. I think the midfield is the brain of the team. The stronger the midfield, the stronger the team. Merino was also one of the best players in the tournament in this position. He became the maestro of the Real Sociedad midfield. Now it is Arsenal's turn, I hope he has a quality season.
