The game ended in favor of Bayern Munich and I must commend their brilliant performance especially in the first half. Although, Bayern was a little bit sloppy in the second half but their overall performance was excellent and commendable. It is the right time for Kompany to pay attention to their deficiency and work on them. I noticed how they were holding on to the ball even when they are surrounded. There's no point fooling about with the ball, they should pass the ball and advance to prevent unnecessary losing of possessions. Kudos to Kompany and the lads thou.
The match went as planned, Kompany managed to bring Bayern Munich to beat Tottenham with a narrow score of 2-1. Even though this is only a friendly match, Kompany needs to prove his ability. Overall Bayern Munich played very well, but there needs to be improvement in the defense to prevent conceding goals. More games ending with a clean sheet would be great for Bayern Munich who are rebuilding their team after failing last season. Kompany must fix every flaw in Bayern Munich's squad to compete with Leverkusen's growing strength. This season there will be a competition between two young coaches in the Bundesliga, let's see who is the best, will Xabi Alonso bring Leverkusen back to winning the Bundesliga or will Kompany achieve success with Bayern Munich.
Although it was a friendly match, Kompany seemed happy that he could at least give satisfaction to Bayern Munich. Not a bad start and hopefully Bayern Munich players can build more togetherness with their current coach. Because they are playing against one of the EPL teams, Bayern Munich in Kompany hands still needs a lot of development. This victory at least motivates Kompany to be better, more creative in creating opportunities from the left and right sides to supply his strikers later. I can't comment much on this friendly match because I'm still curious about Kompany when the Bundesliga starts. Leverkusen is still in a fairly cautious situation and doesn't want to give up their trophy next season.
