I know we always have to advise people to do their own research for any referral given to them, but still, you do not want to give someone a referral on some altcoin just for them to do their own research and find out that they just dodged a bullet.
Do not just refer to any cryptocurrency; refer to bitcoin when introducing a newbie to cryptocurrency.

Do not refer unless they come and meet you that they want to invest in cryptocurrency before you can teach them how to invest and refer Bitcoin for them by giving them reasons why investing in Bitcoin is more safe than investing in altcoins because you can lose of you invest in altcoins. The market just crashed and Bitcoin is dipping but that isn't where my concerns are because if you look at altcoins, they're dipping the most. Newbies that don't know will think that you asked them to invest in those altcoins so they'll lose and they might think that cryptocurrency is a scam.

To protect yourself you can decide not to invite anybody to cryptocurrency because people can be very funny when they don't get what they wanted. Many people are just interested in cryptocurrency because they want to make profits like how others are claiming they did on social media but they are too lazy to learn how the market moves so they can understand what is happening when everybody is crying of a dip. Only refer people that have experience in investing and knows what to do when the market is dipping or rising.
