One airdrop has been asking me to cash out the tokens using my TON wallet, but when I try to, the prompt I receive is that I do not have TON to complete the transaction. Must I have TON to receive Telegram-based airdrops?
Since this is the Telegram airdrop season, some projects would require Ton from their airdrop participants to claim rewards, it's nothing to worry about if you're very sure the project is legit and verified by telegram, cause their are lots of scam projects and bots that randomly appear to telegram users with rewards that looks tempting and would require their potential victims to connect wallet and give hackers or scammers access to it. However Ton blockchain so far has the cheapest Tx fees so you shouldn't be bothered about the cost since it would require very little Ton, all you just need to do is buy some Ton from your telegram wallet and send it to Ton keeper wallet then you can connect your Ton keeper wallet to claim the airdrop.
