Both Manchester City and Manchester United both had mediocre pre-season matches. they sometimes lose and sometimes win. But that's all because both of them only play second-tier players and young players. But in the Community Shield match, I think both teams will play with their full strengths. And I am sure Manchester City will win the match. I still doubt Manchester United. And again, we know that Hojlund, who is also an important player for Manchester United's attack line, is still injured. And it's likely that Hojlund will only return after the end of August. So Hojlund will definitely miss the match. Leny Yoro is a new player but he has shown a very good game at the back but he is also still injured and will probably return after the end of October. The point is that Manchester United may not be completely ready. Meanwhile, Manchester City is always ready.

I'm not sure if this is an important match or not what is clear is don't be too confident on one side. Indeed, Manchester City deserves to be the favorite to win because they have a better history and statistics it's just that sometimes the unexpected can happen for example they play young or new players well this can mess up our predictions so it's better to wait a few hours before the match starts to see the starting lineup. By the way so far the sportsbooks Stake.com prefer Manchester City and both teams to score YES and over goals are still the favorites to place bets, I don't think both teams think about playing defensively meaning the fight will go on until the last minute and let's wait for the next 4 days.

The Community Shield title is not actually a major trophy and I think here Manchester City will also take it easy to win this trophy. On the other hand, Manchester United will probably be more serious about winning it and at the same time it will be a good additional trophy after previously winning the FA Cup trophy.

I don't remember the last time Manchester City took the Community Shield so seriously and at that time Arsenal were always able to beat them in this match. However, I will not assume more and sometimes Pep Guardiola could be quite annoyed because last season they only managed to collect one EPL trophy and maybe this time they will try to win the Community Shield. Looking at the betting odds, Manchester City is far superior and does not consider Manchester United as a worthy challenger, but the over goal option here will be able to secure a safer bet than betting on one of them.
