Finally and after days of seeing rumors about Nico Williams and other teams like Barcelona and PSG it seems this player is going to stay in Bilao for a longer time. Maybe it was a smart decision for this player because Nico Williams is still young and in Bilao he can have more chances to get improve and play in this player than other teams like Barcelona. While playing for Barcelona nad moving to this team could be a big risk for the player.
He sent a message to fans of Bilbao and said he is ready to start next season in this team.

For the question of playing time, it is true because by staying he will get more time to play as a core player than moving to Barcelona or to another big club.
But if we talk about the opportunity to play in a big club, it can give him the opportunity to develop faster because he is motivated to play consistently at all times to become a core player. Usually when there are challenges and pressure it will give great motivation to every player.
If in the end Nico Williams stays endure, maybe he has considered many things so that is the decision he chooses.

Next season he can decide again which club to go to and most importantly he can maintain the consistency of his best playing form so that he will remain one of the players targeted by many clubs.
I don't think Nico Williams' decision to stay at Bilbao was a smart one. Remember that Nico Williams became a hot name in the summer transfer window because he won the EURO with the Spanish national team. He did not become famous when he was at the Bilbao club.

I think the reason he decided to stay in Bilao is because Barcelona and PSG haven't made any attractive offers to Bilao. Surely Nico Williams would love to go to Barcelona to reunite with teammate Lamine Yamal, but Barcelona is having financial difficulties, so they are considering recruiting him very carefully. As for PSG, they need a real star to replace Kylian Mbappé, Nico Williams is not capable enough to replace Mbappé. These two clubs should wait until Nico Williams' contract expires to recruit him at a cheap price. For Nico Williams, he should continue to prove his talent, so that big teams do not hesitate to buy him at a high price.
A lot of you armchair quarterbacks are scratching your heads, but this kid's smarter than you think. Barcelona? The Camp Nou is great, but the club is broke. Even a basic coffee machine is too expensive for them, let alone the world-class players Nico needs to succeed. PSG? Easy money and domestic trophies? Please. Nico wants Champions League glory, not Mickey Mouse. And PSG can't even find their way out of the group stage most years

Nico plays the long game. He understands his value will only rise if he keeps playing well at Bilbao, where he's an important player with his brother. He doesn't settle for second best, and champions have that mindset. This is not the end, I promise. Nico will soon be back in the spotlight, but this time he'll choose a team that matches his goals. Taking a chance on himself is the most daring move
