~~ Snip ~~
It's still a pre season games, and the first real test for Ac Milan has not yet come. I think the better if you're lowering your expectations to them. Im not saying Ac Milan was bad, but nothing to take from the Pre-season when they were against kids from the different clubs,
Fonsesca is still quite new in Ac Milan, and his real test is gonna start once Serie A will be starting soon.
I said this too, I said the performances are good and I didn't expect it. But I also said that they are friendly matches and that we will therefore see the real test during the championship.
Obviously we cannot rely on these matches to understand how the team will fare in the championship. They are batches of experiments.
I can't say no, because their performance is good in this pre-season match, but I agree that we have to lower our expectations of them. Pre-season matches are unpredictable matches, I mean sometimes they are good in pre-season but not in the competition, and there are also the opposite, they are bad in pre-season but they are good in the competition.
Now it is AC Milan's job to answer all of that, they have to answer that their performance in pre-season is a true picture of their performance in the competition. And the answer we will only get when Serie A starts. We have to be patient first to see their performance in Serie A or other official competitions.
Milan are currently making a roadmap to success next season, a number of their pre-season tour results indicate that they are very ready to compete for the Scudetto. However, I predict their chances of winning it are lower than Inter Milan, despite their impressive victories against Barcelona, Madrid, and Man City. At least, the series of wins can increase the players confidence, and indicate that they have adapted quickly and are ready to face the new season. Meanwhile, to assess Milan true strength, their first match against Torino in the next ten days can be used as a reference.
Paulo Fonseca who was appointed as the new manager is fully responsible for Milan performance next season, his experience coaching Roma can at least shorten his time to adapt to the Serie A game culture. Last season Milan was quite far behind Inter Milan, also losing when the two faced each other directly in the derby match. With the overhaul that has been carried out in the transfer window, Milan performance next season should be even better, following the good results they got in the pre-season tour. Hopefully, this will not only be proven in Serie A, but should also be shown in their journey in the Champions League.
