I doubt that Maresca is capable of achieving more with Chelsea than Pochettino did. If Alex Ferguson said that he would like to see Pochettino as the Manchester United coach, then this is an indicator that he should be trusted more, but Boehly sees it his own way. I think he also wants only the best for the team and is trying to change something, hoping to find a coach who can make Chelsea a team that can become a champion. The Conference League is not the level that Boehly wants to see.
We have a very long season ahead so we can’t conclude on what Enzo Maresca can achieve yet because this is just the preseason. Pochettino came in and had a wonderful preseason performance which raised the hopes of everyone and making the fans believe they will witness a blossom season but when the season started it was not as we expected. Pre season does not determine anything and i believe Enzo Maresca will identify the mistakes made in the preseason and correct them so i have hope that their performance will improve as the season progresses.
Maybe Todd Boehly doesn’t want Pochettino style that why he sacked him, i know he believes in Maresca’s abilities and he will give him the opportunity and enough time to build this team even if it will take more than a season. Arteta also didn’t build Arsenal in a season and when he started Arsenal also went through this process and struggled at the beginning.
Todd Boehly expectations are too high, he wants something that a coach can't give in just one season. If it continues like this, Chelsea will have a hard time developing because the coach is working under pressure from management. It is not yet certain what Pochettino experienced will be felt by Enzo Maresca or not, but if Todd Boehly does not give the coach time, the possibility of another coaching change is very large.
I pray Todd Boehly gives this manager a chance because it is difficult for a team to be transformed in a season.
