Absolutely right, I believe Bitcoin community in USA matters most because the country is leading economy and financial hub of the world. Any positive development in the US is watched world-wide with great interest, specially in the western countries, in short USA is trend setter for rest of the world, and  Bitcoin adoption in the USA sends strong signal to the global community about its legitimacy, which builds confidence of investors to allocate funds into Bitcoin protocols.
