As a Bitcoin investor there are some things that one shouldn't even keep an keen ear on and one of them is the news of Bitcoin price hype because they are some certain news that you would get to hear that might actually make you even think of tempering with your coins and that is actually the wrong step to take especially if you are planning on holding for a really long time. A long term investment understand that no matter what Bitcoin value is still going to hit the uptrend so why bother of the news except if you are keen on knowing when to buy big during the dip
I'm not sure with your statements but I disagree with some of the things you say. If not for the price hype, do you really think Bitcoin will reach where it's right now that fast. It can achieve it but not as fast as it has. Look at when Donald Trump says good things about Bitcoin, traders and investors were quick to hype it for the market but as soon as some traditional market crashes, Bitcoin was quick to follow down the trend. There are some price Bitcoin has achieved that are not hype and it would never go beyond there.
As much as Bitcoin remain of the best coin and a digital currency, it need hype to survive. In fact, many things around the internet are now on hype otherwise some will not survive. However, the real fundamental aspect that contributed to Bitcoin can't be under look, Bitcoin has made name for itself based on the belief that it's a decentralized currency and one and only true coin.
