Leverkusen are going to have another tournament to compete in this season you know, the Champions League. 
I'm really curious about how good Xabi Alonso will deal with this.
I mean he is going to be expected to be successful in not only Bundesliga but also there this time. If I elaborate "success in the CL", I assume the expectation would be to qualify from league phase at least.
Can they do this though? If we see another dedicated effort this year too then why not? With that kind of a performance they can even beat some of the biggest title contenders.
Before they were confirmed as the German Bundesliga champions last season, Bayer Leverkusen had already been confirmed as one of the teams that'll play in the UEFA Champions League competition this season so it's a not a surprise to them that they'll be playing in Europe's biggest and most prestigious club competition and that's why they're expected to be prepared for what lies ahead of them. Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso have already shown enough managerial abilities for anyone not to undermine his team and I believe they'll have a good campaign come next season.
