I agree with you. Chelsea have serious problems in their defense. I am confused why Chelsea increase the number of goalkeepers even though currently there seems to be around 8 goalkeepers in the Chelsea squad. But it seems true what X-ray said, Chelsea increase the number of goalkeepers not only to find the best and strengthen their defense, but to do some business and get profit from the player's price.
That many goalkeepers will definitely be very wasteful for a team because Chelsea will only use a few and it would be more ideal if Chelsea could sell half of that number to other teams and buy some other defenders to fill their defense to make it better. Because a team must be better from all lines and more importantly is the defense side apart from the front side which must also have fast finishers so that there are goals from each match. But I don't understand what Chelsea is doing now so that they can have that many goalkeepers.
I don't know what Chelsea was thinking until they recruited many goalkeepers indirectly instead of reaping a lot of profit if they sell them but instead wasting money because they have to pay salaries and contracts every season for the goalkeepers even though they only use at least 2 goalkeepers to rotate their main goalkeepers, they have to sell goalkeepers who are actually not really needed rather than having to accommodate many players.
I see Chelsea also recruiting many players in the summer transfer market including defenders, midfielders, and strikers, at least they also have to think about their financial stability.
