I'm sure what you mean is qualifying from the group phase, the last time they played in the UCL was during the 22/23 season, they failed to advance from the group stage and could only finish in third place.
That was the case 2 seasons ago, with their performance last season, i think they can at least give hope to their fans, qualifying from the group stage is no longer a difficult thing for them.
There is no group format in the Champions League anymore. It is a league like format from now on. More details are here:

I hope Kompany makes difference. I want to see Bayern Munich back in the title race in the Bundesliga. While Xabi Alonso's team are doing great things I'd love to see a title race between them next time.

I'm sad for especially Kane. A great player individually but still trophyless... He still has many years ahead of him before thinking about retirement. I hope to see him winning trophies here.
A big team can help a rookie manager get their confidence and hit it big in a short period. Especially if the team is not under pressure to win trophies asap. I hope Bayern will give Kompany some time.
I’m confident he wil do well. He had duds at Burnley and wanted to play expansive football with a relegation squad.
It’s going to be an interesting season in the Bundesliga with these young managers trying to win something with Nuri Sahin, Xavi Alonso and Vincent kompany.
I am not sure Bayer Leverkusen will win again this season. I think both Dortmund and Bayern Munich are preparing their guns to fire because I’ve seen their performances in the preseason games and yes, it won’t be easy like the last time.
