The reason you are poor is because you have a stupid leader, as it's obvious you come from Russia. While the rest of the world is trying to be productive, your country is led by an authoritarian leader who's only legacy is going to be a disastrous invasion of your neighbor and complete humiliation of your country - he has been incredibly destructive to your wealth. Elsewhere people are richer than they have ever been before on average, however the world has definitely transitioned to more of a hustler mentality than say 30 years ago. People used to have jobs for life, now you have to be flexible as the business world is ever changing and more ruthless than it used to be.
I agreed about few things which are you mentioning here but still we have to understand it's not only mindset we are having in Russia we are having many big blunders into their history just because of their own ego and legacy, and it's always painful for the peoples those are suffering due to their wrong decisions and invading other country's hobby.
Recently due to things like these we are having many changes with many collapses and business are surely suffering because we are having no alternatives and life is getting more challenges for the peoples, but sadly they are not able to bring changes with it's also happening in many other countries and those are suffering due to bad leadership and bad decisions which are make these peoples.
