I disagree with the author of this work. Rather his argument would have been the intricate interplays of class struggles in the human society, where the privilege class uses legislations that legalize fierce competitions in the production sectors to further reproduce social classes of the lower echelon in the society.
It is on this trajectory that the human society is considered as a  chaotic cohabitation. Remember that the world is created as a world of work which is a recipe for perpetual exclusion and violent conflicts.
This is what makes the world looks like a prison, but not.
