Unfortunately, what has been discussed for years has been confirmed, namely that few care what will happen to Bitcoin as a technology, but what will happen to Bitcoin only when it comes to price.

All right, you lost me a little there.  I hate politics and thus haven't been reading all the stuff that relates politics to bitcoin, but how would an election or even a new administration affect bitcoin's technology?  Am I understanding you correctly?  Because the way I see it, bitcoin=money (and a form of investment), and people absolutely should be caring about its price or any factors that might affect its price if they're invested in it.  A higher price vs. [pick your fiat currency] means greater purchasing power one way or another.

And, I might add, if any cryptocurrency is going to have mainstream adoption, people should not have to worry about what's under the hood except to the extent necessary, because most people suck at math and have eyes that would glaze over if confronted with a discussion of "the technology".  Nevertheless, they ought to be able to use bitcoin if they want to.  Hell, I didn't understand exactly what bitcoin was when I first started using faucets back in the day; I just had my curiosity piqued and thankfully one doesn't need a deep grasp of cryptography, mathematics, or blockchain tech in order to send and receive bitcoin.
