The new format is actually easy to understand. Instead of having 32 teams in 8 groups, we have a league consisting of 36 teams in it. No groups anymore. The rules are the same with the Champions League new format like @imamusma mentioned the details. I hope it'd be fun. I'm not even sure if there was any need for such format change but anyway we'll see.

Seriously it was an unexpected win for Atlanta last season in the Europa League, many of us think that Leverkusen is the favorite to win the title because of the way they played throughout the season, Leverkusen was playing in the league by winning in some games when the game is about to end and that give some us hope that Leverkusen will win the title but due to the nature of football Atlanta win the league, this season Europa league is going to be difficult to predict because there will be many teams that will be playing in the league and some of this team’s are very strong.
Talking about Manchester United to win this season Europa league, I don’t think this is the right time to talk about Manchester United winning the league, the club is facing a lot of problems these days and due to their performances against Manchester City I don’t think Manchester United can able to defeat every opponent they meet in the league, I know they try their best against Manchester City but if they want to win the a trophy this season they have to change some position in the team, most especially the goalkeeper that is behaving like he doesn’t know what he is doing when they are playing a penalty shootout.
