Having good team does not guarantee success as we saw with Girona last season. Strong team is important but it is not the only factor.
Having a good team doesn't guarantee success, but that can take a team to a better position in the league table above mediocre teams.
Girona didn't lift the Laliga trophy, as we all know, but they were able to occupy the third spot on the Laliga table compared to other seasons they had poor performance. At least they gave a fantastic performance last season, it's something they can boost, that they achieve in building a strong team that can compete for the top spot. However, I don't know what will be Girona's fate this season as they have sold and loaned some of their key players to other teams, signing new players to their team.

I think Girona had a good team last season because they appeared quite consistent throughout the season and they achieved that with solid teamwork. They are indeed not a big team with lots of star players in it but that doesn't hide the fact that they are a good team. A good team's parameters are not always the number of star players they have, but how they play to win and get a good achievement by the time the season ends.
Girona really shocked everyone last season and what make that achievable for them was unity that is they move together as a team even though there no any super star in their means but during last season they actually make use of the opportunity they have by playing only one competition and that was Laliga, that why it wasn't stressful to them but this time around I don't think it going to be easy for them because they are playing more than one competition and that alone will make it difficult to enjoy this season.
