People have been filing FOIA to FBI since several years ago and maybe some of them appealed as well.

It's safe to assume none of them fared well so I doubt it's gonna be any different this time. I guess even the FBI knows it's a waste of resources as they appear to have only responded now after all these years lol.
In 2016, Alexander Muse submitted a FOIA request to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Central Intelligence Agency about the identity of Satoshi. The responses of these agencies created more confusion than clarification. The quest to unravel the identity of Satoshi is indeed a waste of time and resources.
