I don't think Inter Milan will be my favorite team to win the Scudetto next season based on their pre-season performance, however, at this point, I believe AC Milan is a strong team to win the championship next season due to their pre-season performance, as they defeated Manchester City, Real Madrid, and even Barcelona in the penalty shootout.
Well, if we judge a club only based on their performance in pre-season then it is clear that AC Milan could be the favorite for this season in Serie A. It's just that we know that pre-season is just pre-season. Where all the clubs did not play seriously in that match. Player rotation, strategy testing and other observations are the goals of pre-season matches. So sometimes we can't expect what is shown in the pre-season to remain the same in the actual season. Because some strong teams like Man City even lost in pre-season but I'm sure almost everyone here will agree that Man City will not lose in the actual match.
My favorites for Serie A this season are still in flux. But I'll probably make a judgment after a few weeks have passed.
