The Bilbao side have themselves to blame on this 1-1 draw, this is the first game of the season and every team would want to get all 3 point just to be at the top of the log but the manager Valverde gambled with the game, knowing quite well that the Getafe side also are hungry to make a statement and also want to get all 3pt, now you have see how difficult the defense line of your opponent are and the midfield down to the attacker are stronger and doing better than your team, why not bring in your attacking power Nico Williams to combine with his brother to make something happen but he waited till it was late, there was nothing to do with how the away team was pressing and defending, it was well planned by Getafe.
The away team played better to even put more pressure on the host and I was expecting a win but they (Getafe) were unlucky to not convert some of their chances and these guys became more faster than we used to know them, I just hope they continue like this to cause more problems to their opponent in the next game.
I don't understand what strategy Valverde implemented because he benched Nico Williams and played him as a substitute. In fact, if you look at Nico Williams' big role, he can certainly trouble the opponent's defense if he is given the opportunity to play in the early minutes. Of course this is a big loss for Bilbao because in the first match they wasted the opportunity to get 3 points because they were playing at home and were also able to dominate the game but in the end they had to share the results with Getafe.
In another match, Girona also drew against Betis with a final score of 1-1. Losing Dovbyk has disappointed us because he was the star player they sold in this transfer window. I think Girona will not be as strong as last season because their strength is not completely good in today's match.
