Girona's results in La Liga last year were exceptional, because due to their budget and population size, it is not normal for them to fight for the top positions, and they were normally a second division team. We had a similar case years ago with Deportivo de La Coruña, now in the second division, but who shone and managed to win a league and two Copa del Rey.
I just saw that La Liga has started and there are even 2 matches. I think the game will start this Saturday. Girona have contested and drawn. I think it was a pretty good start. Girona plays at Real Betis. So with good statistical conditions, Girona managed to control the match. I'm not too sure about Girona's condition this season. But this is also the same when thinking Girona will be out of the top 5 at the end of the season. But all my predictions were wrong, Girona was able to play well. There are opportunities for every team, but it is possible realistically a team with better players will perform better.
