To be honest with you, I had similar thoughts about Bayer Leverkusen on numerous occasions in recent weeks but in my conclusion, I think it's now more difficult to achieve everything they achieved last season than it was when they conquered Germany. Watching Bayer Leverkusen win the German Bundesliga in the most entertaining fashion last season was very pleasing to watch and made the German league more interesting than it's been in over two decades now. Their major competitor this season if you ask me is Bayern Munich and I doubt Bayern Munich will allow Leverkusen win the league again this season.
There is no much thing to think about, Leverkusen did very well last season but on this one it will be a lot difficult for them to keep such tracks, despite having same attackers doesn't change the fact that other teams hasn't corrected their mistakes(an upgrade in squad and tactics) which can neutralize their performance. Leverkusen can still be up among the top contestants in the league but at the end have to give it up for Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich are to win the Bundeslisga, Kompany can do better judging from the aura we've seen from his training season/preseason fixtures.
