Barcelona didn't have an easy job at all though. It was like they were waiting for Valencia to score to start performing better. 
Lewandowski was on his very good day that he scored two goals. It is good to see him being beneficial for his team. Because he is one of top earners in the squad now. Therefore the expectations are bigger as well.
I still believe it could be his last year at Barcelona on one hand. He is 35 and has 2 years left on his contract. If he plays much extra this season then maybe the team could consider keeping him for one last year.

Securing the first 3 points is quite important for Barca, especially with their new coach. Of course, in the first few games, the focus will be on assessing how well Flick can maximize the team he has.

There were changes made by Barcelona in their first match, Flick still played some of their young players. The two pivots were filled by young La Masia players, but their performance was quite good. For the defensive line, their performance was not so impressive, but it is natural that the two center backs are not Barcelona's core players. Even though they were behind, Lewandowski and his colleagues did not give up and put pressure on. Uniquely, Flick placed Raphina behind Lewandowski, her performance was quite good with her new position. Luckily, Barca was able to win this match and they secured full points. Next, I am quite sure that Barca's game will develop even more. Moreover, if Flick plays all of his core players. Maybe in the match against Bilbao, Flick will field his core players as the main starters. Perhaps with that, we will see Barcelona's performance much better.
