Most of them meant every word they said during the elections campaign period, but immediately after they are voted into power, they forget all the promises they've made and allow the power they now hold intoxicate them. Many of these politicians are taking advantage of the fact that the people they represent are very easy to be manipulated,  they won't learn to keep to their campaign promise as long as the masses do not say NO! to all forms of manipulations and deceit initiated by the politicians and their cohorts. There are still good politicians though, but the corrupt politicians and even the masses won't allow their goodness to be felt.
