Leverkusen have won the German Super Cup and it was hell of a work honestly.
Because they got a red card in the first half but this still didn't stop them. Even though Stuttgart got ahead, they came back and won by penalties. Xabi Alonso is continuing on his magical run. Starting the season with trophy must be feeling superb for the whole team and the fans.
It is good to see that the same spirit exists among the players. Maybe another unbeaten run is about to start...
Congratulations on Leverkusen's victory, this is just the beginning of the season but they have shown an extraordinary performance like last season. I think this can be a reference for them to be more confident to start an extraordinary season and want to compete for the Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich again. I am sure Bayern Munich is currently worried about Leverkusen's preparation this season which will make it difficult for them.
Even though they were left behind and got a red card, it did not discourage the players at all, they seemed to continue fighting until the end and Xabi Alonso was always able to make his players appear impressive.
But in my opinion even though they managed to win on penalties but in my opinion they played hard enough against Stuttgart, they controlled the match before everything made them careless and Xabi managed to secure a draw with a score of 90+, but in my opinion next season Xabi will have difficulty making Leverkusen more respected in the eyes of the world because if you look at them they are declining and I hope they can overcome it and make the Bundesliga a good spectacle again, although in my opinion Munich will return with the many superstar players they have and coach Kompany is also quite good at putting in a game plan and in my opinion Xabi with Leverkusen is not too considered next season.
Because they do not rely on or buy some fantastic players to help Xabi in realizing his plan to be better and considered but in my opinion next season Dortmund and also RB Leipzigh will be the right force to block Munich not Leverkusen, and in my opinion next season will be tough for Xabi and also Leverkusen because their strength is less compared to other Bundesliga teams.
