I was actually one of those that rated Conte when he signed for Napoli. I thought he was going to find a way to strengthen his team and make sure the players there didn't leave, but I suspected he didn't know what he was doing when he demanded Lukaku as his main striker. Maybe in the past when he worked with Lukaku he was sharp, but right now. which managers asks for Lukaku in 2024?
Lukaku might be thirty-one but he has not lost his goalscoring ability. Last season he scored thirty-nine goals and seven assists for his club and country in sixty-one games. That is not a bad statistic for a player at his age. Every coach has players they think fit their style of play and Antonio Conte believes he needs Lukaku. The club will have to give him what he wants to ensure he brings positive results.

Osimhen hasn't even been involved since pre-season. So I wasn't surprised when Conte didn't include Osimhen in the squad at the start of this season. Maybe he will start giving him a seat in the Napoli squad when the transfer market closes and Osimhen cannot be released to any team. It's just that I would also prefer if Conte continued to play Osimhen even though this player is being planned to be released. It's just that maybe Conte is preparing if Osimhen is actually released. But that's not the most important thing. But the most important thing is why Napoli lost so badly to Verona alone. This indicates that there is a huge weakness in Conte's strategy. And he has to fix that as quickly as possible so that next week they won't lose quite as hard.
Players who are in the process of being transferred to another club are usually left out of the team for some reason. The current team will have to protect them from injuries. This is because a serious injury to the player can discourage interested clubs from going ahead with negotiations. Victor Osimhen will be fully integrated into the Napoli side after the close of the transfer window.
