Research is essential, I agree! However, I do think gambling should be considered as a means of entertainment as you said, not as a source of income. Self-control is easier that way, as it should be.

I don't understand what you mean by "I think gambling should not be considered a means of entertainment as you say", does that mean you yourself consider gambling as a source of income?
In addition, it should be noted that when gambling it is not easy to control yourself, because the temptation to win or win bigger will be felt and can make us lose control of ourselves and in my opinion everyone who gambles is likely to have experienced a loss of self-control.

Self-control is something that I think is easy to say but not easy to practice, why are there so many cases of the negative impacts of gambling that occur and that happens because many people who gamble tend to lose control of themselves when gambling. and this loss of self-control can be predicted because they cannot control themselves with the great and strong temptations that exist in gambling which makes them think that they can get a big enough win even though it is not certain.

The point is some people will use gambling as a mean of entertainment but many will approach it with too much hope and see in it a way to change their lives, most of the times being wrong on that

Yep, totally! People have different backgrounds, but all of us should at least try to strive to control ourselves better while gambling. Then again, if you don't have the big hopes which you described in your mind, that would be much easier to do, in my opinion.
