I think there is a chance now for you to get unbanned, although it depends on what was the main Reason why you got banned initially but the forum had introduced a new rule to get second chance to banned members maybe you would qualify. We'll see what the mods have to say, but plagiarism is still a serious offense in 2024.  In fact I'd say it should be even more serious since nowadays people are using AI to make posts and it's harder than ever to tell if something somebody's writing is genuine or not. 

If this was a referendum or some such thing, I'd vote for not lifting the ban....but it's not, and enforcement of bans after multiple years might have gotten more lax since 2019.
