The club keeps making the same mistakes, and sometimes, I feel that the management is under a spell. The club had enough players that would have comfortably competed this season. But they are busy sending out their best players, such as Conor Gallagher, Trevoh Chalobah, and even Raheem Sterling. I wouldn't drop Sterling for Joao Felix, the former is better than the Portuguese.
The only problem I knew Chelsea had last season was their inability to convert chances. They had some of the best players that were about to play good football, but most of the chances were wasted by mainly Nicolas Jackson. Enzo Maresca would have simply brought him a natural number nine and did some reshuffling to balance their financial standing. Now, the coach is allowing some young players who can be groomed to be the future stars of the club. I am pained to see him put players like Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei, and Angelo Gabriel for sale.
Those mistakes are obviously from the hierarchies, they're nothing related to being hexed and shiit. They have forcefully pushed these players who game them the Champions League and it's not a good way to look at it even if I was playing for Chelsea. I would be wondering what if it happens to me. They should have made a deal for him to reduce his payroll other than going behind to do things the way they did. Raheem Sterling has experience in the Premier League Competition and was also consistent last season. Well, Todd Boehly knows better.
It's the same thing Chelsea legend John Mikel Obi talked about, getting a proven striker would solve all these problems they currently have. Nicholas Jackson do not solve the issues that comes with goalscoring and not even Joào Felix.
Well, he is digging his own grave and I don't see them in the top four with in-experienced players. The defense is also another big issue they need to sort but that's another story.
