It would be foolish to expect a better performance from Chelsea. Maybe the team's performance will stabilize a bit. But I don't think Chelsea deserve to be in the top four of the points table at the moment. This club has a lot of internal problems. The management of the club is not experienced and this is their first weakness.

However, this season too, Chelsea will form a squad with a new coach. Looking forward to seeing if Enzo Maresca will make Chelsea stronger again. But the Chelsea team is in a very bad position right now. Rapid improvement is not possible for this team. But if Maresca has long term plan then maybe Chelsea's overall situation will change slowly and we will see stable performance from Chelsea.

Chelsea have just played one game. I think it is too early to say Chelsea will not perform well this season again. As for me, changing the squad and forming another one does not mean much to me, and I don't think it can stop a team from performing well if the coach is experienced and tactical. All they need is proper coaching, and I am sure the players will adapt. In fact, watching the match against Manchester City, I don't think they played that badly, but the issue is that they don't have a good striker. Chelsea had good chances to score, but they just wasted them. I still believe that Chelsea's performance may be better than last season's, but let's see what will happen in their first 10 matches before we start judging them.

Chelsea are definitely going to get better, with the whole tactics from a new manager Maresca, undoubtedly what he is trying to build in the team is what can actually contribute to the club finishing at the top. Maresca changed everything and the players really need to adapt including the newly signed players, not just to understands the tactics alone but to enable perfection to some level because the competition is to finish top of the Premier league, competing with elite teams then hopefully win the Conference league.

All these will require some time, no need to chase after it too soon but I also feel like the players on their own needs to develop themselves, mostly the defenders and strikers because we have seen quite some silly mistakes and lack of confidence in the way they approach the play. I believe every Chelsea fan should trust the process.
