Winning in gambling will make your mood happy just as we get some rewards and we feel happy. These feelings are so great and we feel so energic and positive.
However, once we start to lose in gambling, we slowly move towards the sadness phase. If the loss continues and we keep on losing the money, eventually it can lead to depression.
Yes, I understand that depression is a very severe stage and it won't come at once if you are a new gambler but if you are not a responsible gambler, it is very easy for the gambler to lose his emotions and become depressed in life. Focus on other entertainment other than gambling for some time can be helpful in relaxing our mind and regrouping again to come back strongly in gambling with a strong emotion.
Well, you are right, but then, just as you tried to mention but didnt go deep in your explanation, depression is not something that comes easy, it's common amongst gamblers today but it's not a stage a gambler gets to overnight , some a person to enter into a depressed phase in their life as a result of gambling loses, such one must either have been gambling for years and possibly sat down one day to estimate the total amount of money he or she has lost to gambling, and he or she realized it's a huge sum of money that is capable of changing his or her life situation at that very moment, such gambler can become depressed then, and this type of depression is hard to come out from except on really serious intervention.
Meanwhile on the other hand, some one can lose money he or she never did plan to lose, and or can't afford to lose, sadness about the loss can lead such a person into becoming depressed, but this type of depression is easy to overcome, since it can only last for a short period of time because as soon as the gambler learns and decides to forget the loss and move on, that depression will immediately disappear.
