Because he ain't a holding midfielder. He can have a good game against a weak team where the control is Liverpool's, but in a more even game I doubt he'll be considered at all - Endo will probably get the nod.
I did see a lot of potential that can be harnessed if he is allowed to play more there. He is more forward thinking than Endo in my opinion.
If however Gravenberch does play the 6, it will be in a double pivot with a player that isn't a 6 as well - example McAllister.
It can work temporarily - but long-term it won't bring us trophies.
Very few players have the skill set to play the holding midfielder role perfectly and not in a double pivot, reason why City suffer whenever Rodri is not playing. If you get one with some potential, he should be giving more opportunities to try it out. We will see if Slot gives him more outings there.
