I'm not sure what Napoli's issue was that caused them to concede three goals to Verona, I thought they had signed a lot of players during the transfer window, so why did their defense look so bad against a smaller team? Napoli's play this season hasn't improved over the previous season, as if they haven't added any players to strengthen their game. It didn't seem that Conte has made any changes since taking over. Napoli changed managers last season and finished in the lowest spot, so Conte has a lot of work to do. So let's see if Conte may improve the team and finish among the top four this season.
What is clear is that Napoli's defense really experienced a fairly obvious decline in the match against Verona. And it seems that Conte hasn't been able to create the right formation or the right composition in the strategy he uses for Napoli. My expectations of Conte seemed too high before. Because now I realize that Conte is not as good as I imagined. And the results shown by Napoli in the first match of the season are enough proof that Conte has not made many improvements to this squad. Well there's still a lot of work there for him to do. And it looks like it will be a long journey for Conte to really get Napoli back to better performance than last season.
