A beginner usually has inflated expectations of the game and luck. He constantly thinks that a little more and he will win, but with each bet he is brought down to earth in reality, and the reality is that the casino wins. Of course, in a certain segment of bets you can sometimes win, and experienced players understand this, that wins and losses will most likely be cyclical, and beginners often only have victories on their minds. And depression is a natural process after expectations are not met, not only in the game but also in everyday life.

I often advise not to play for those who find it very difficult to accept losses. Perhaps this is the character of the player, or perhaps just genetics from parents, one of whom loves gambling, or something similar to this.

Having the mindset of thinking that gambling is place to get rich quick as a newbie is common, because most newbies normally have this high expectations in gambling due to the source they first encounter it , may be where through peer group or via internet (social medias etc.) Because now and days you will come across alot of folks showcasing their wins via social medias how they make millions by just hitting the jackpot making it seems easy .

Which may eventually trigger that mindset of getting rich quick to some folks at there , and they will eventually go into gambling as with that same mindset ( of getting rich quick through gambling) . And with high expectations that they will eventually hit same jackpot, but at the reality stroke them. And they endup with big disappointment.
Social media makes everyone think they're one spin from wealthy. Although Lamborghinis and boats are glamorous, the reality is much less so. Casinos are built on math, not dreams. They make themselves rich, not you. They exploit newcomers' hopes. These people enter wide-eyed, thinking they're special. They're not.

Similar to late-night infomercials offering get-rich-quick programs. They pretend its easy, but its not. The actual world works differently. You want success? You must put in the time and effort. The top is accessible via stairs, not an elevator. Its possible to win. Anyone can be lucky. Gambling on luck is foolish. You're always down and the house wins. Remember that the only sure thing in a casino is that the casino will win.

Its not just about the gambler, but the culture. These online communities hype each other, celebrating their "wins" while ignoring their setbacks. This vicious loop is meant to hook you.
