Hello everyone! As much as I would have liked to prepare sample forms early and spreadsheets, the biggest issue with Champions League is that we only know the full lineups after the playoffs, so it only gives us 2 weeks or so to check out the odds and teams and fully prep the sheets.

Regardless, with four weeks to the start of the Group Stage and MD1, I would like to take the opportunity to invite everyone to participate in this upcoming prediction pool, so am tagging all participants from last season to give an early heads up.

For those of you unfamiliar with the format we played last season, check out OP. This season's formats will be similar, with some amendments that hopefully improve on the experience.

1. 2-Pot format remains
Based on feedback received, we will retain the simplicity of Superbru but reduce its significance in the overall prize pot. Tentatively, this means:
- Pot A, the Superbru scores-based format, will take 30% of the total prize pot.
- Pot B, the form/spreadsheet odds-based format, will take 70% of the total prize pot.

2. Pot B will have expanded markets
We toyed around with a huge market selection, but we're not a sportsbook, usually the sponsor is. Nevertheless, there will now be 2 markets to stake points on. Tentatively, these are:
- ML market (1x2).
- Over/Under goal market.

3. Added layer of strategy
After experimenting with different ways to collect points, we decided that we're not going to complicate the form too much, instead, we'll introduce new limits to maximum stake per outcome, plus a penalty for zero-point players each round. This is mainly to address concerns that leaders could get lucky with a huge stake win on an oversized outcome. We hope this forces people to strategise by ensuring they play at least one realistic outcome per round.
- There will now be a maximum of 4 points staked per outcome.
- Any player ending a MatchDay with 0 points will incur a 5% penalty to their overall points.

To answer a question posed by Woodie above about the entry fee, it was difficult to really put a firm answer down for now (partly because we've not secured sponsorship yet). But I want to settle for 1mbtc. I personally prefer 2, but at the same time understand it's premium price to ask for over $120...
