After the Manchester City game, Enzo Maresca made a comment that he wants Raheem Sterling in his team and just yesterday he has changed his tune and is now telling us that Sterling is not his type of player.
According to reports, Sterling has been stripped of his jersey and is banned from training with the first team. I am not a Chelsea fan but even I know it is utter disrespect the way Raheem Sterling is being treated at Chelsea. This is not how to treat a player you have fallen out of love with. The club should sell Sterling now before the transfer window closes instead of this humiliation.
The way Chelsea sold their academy players and the decision to ban players without speaking with the players themselves give me a belief that Chelsea does not care about their players. I thought Maresca did not want to use Sterling for his Premier League debut, but now he claims that Sterling wasn't the kind of player he wanted in his squad. I didn't see Sterling perform poorly during the preseason games, Sterling still has a three-year deal with the club, and they have disrespected him after two seasons. Neto wore the number 7 jersey in the Conference League qualifier, and that's Sterling's jersey number, it's quite bad how Chelsea treated their players.
However, I blame some players for accepting Chelsea's offer to join them, this team has a lot of players who have filled every position in the club, and I'm wondering why some of them joined the club because this team is not improving any player, they're ruining their careers. I hope Sterling finds a new club as soon as possible to avoid disrespect of the team.
