As far as I know, POL will be interchangeable 1:1 for the current MATIC tokens. Aside the ticker change, I don't think there's more to it. I mean, it's the same Polygon project with nothing really new or improved. It's not like Fantom that doesn't want to change not just the ticket but the overall chain infrastructure (From Fantom Opera to new Sonic chain).
