Manchester United have more possession and look to have a structure, Mazraoui did well to keep Mitoma hidden in the game until that assist from Welbeck to give Brighton the lead. Brighton play a very balanced game making use of the goalkeeper and the defenders ability to pass the ball around confidently. Manchester United are pressing well in the game, and they are not entirely bad, Brighton are still not there yet in the game. The second half replacement from Erik Ten Hag can still win the game for Manchester United, Garnacho and Zirkzee should be players to bring in.
It was clear that this strategy and formation was not effective against Fulham, but Ten Hag still tried his luck against Brighton. All they need is Zirkzee and De Light, if not, they will be stuck scoring goals and might even concede another goal.
