Barcelona won against Athletic Bilbao even though I initially doubted Barcelona's ability and thought the match would end in a draw because Athletic Bilbao is also not a small club, but Barcelona's hard work paid off, they were able to control the ball well 64% even though they still stuck with old players, at least they did not give up to continue to show their best. I think Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski will continue to be the coach's mainstays.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will compete tonight with the promoted club Valladolid, of course Real Madrid is very favored in this match to win, they are 5 points behind Barcelona, so Real Madrid must catch up immediately so that the gap is not too far.
It wasn't an easy game to play against Bilbao and I took thought it would end up in a draw given how Barcelona is always surprising or should I say not surprising fans when it comes to being pitted against another stubborn club but then you'd have to give them credit for their ability to remain calm despite the pressure Bilbao mounted on them. Surprisingly, they have six points in two games whereas Real Madrid have just one for now and they have a date with yet another small club, it's left to them if they'd let themselves get dealt with like Mallorca did to them on their opening fixture.
If Barcelona continues in this spirit, maybe there'd be hopes for them to probably win the league but knowing how they aren't consistent, that will be asking too much of them, won't it? Well, I believe only time and their consistent ability to to get three points will tell.
