So the current regime knows the only way to protect monopoly and one family power is to place control all over the world more over the people to track each of your moves and making you to obey for more rules....non of that would not happening If the elite feel fear that other people want get power aswell.
Every regime definitely wants to control many things and it is not only talking domestically because they even try to influence other countries for their power. Power has a nomenclature and almost nothing is eternal in its level of influence because in the end it will be replaced by another power. But because of the greed of the regime, it tries to manipulate the system to make its regime survive. If you look at history, almost everything was destroyed even though the glory days were arguably quite long and that is proven throughout the world.
The presence of the government should be able to provide something that is quite beneficial for the people in it. Not eroding anything that is considered to be an advantage for them and that is a corrupt regime that does not deserve to be given the opportunity to lead.
For usa it's easy they just make offer and buy the world since they control dollar.
You as some very influencial person ....well usa can offer you deal you get 10 mansions and bank account full of money ....If that's not what you accept since money is nothing for them they can give you 30 mansions and 10 times more money on your bank account...well then you might accept and you do understood If you refuse you will be enemy of not just usa but all the world, but since it's not based on honour or respect ....while you change your mind and accept the offer then you will be good person again not the dictator anymore and your "bad status" will be erased removed.
