Barcelona won against Athletic Bilbao even though I initially doubted Barcelona's ability and thought the match would end in a draw because Athletic Bilbao is also not a small club, but Barcelona's hard work paid off, they were able to control the ball well 64% even though they still stuck with old players, at least they did not give up to continue to show their best. I think Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski will continue to be the coach's mainstays.
Barcelona fought until the last minute and showed that no one should underestimate them this season. Although, I expected them to win the game normally but I gave up and lost my hope seeing them playing draw after seventy minutes but fortunately, Lewandowski came through to secure them a winning goal at seventy fifth minute. However, they shouldn't be over excited about the win and forget that there is still a lot of work to be done especially in the defense. The overall performance is not a bad one but their defense is not yet in a good shape to resist penetration from more aggressive teams than Bilbao.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will compete tonight with the promoted club Valladolid, of course Real Madrid is very favored in this match to win, they are 5 points behind Barcelona, so Real Madrid must catch up immediately so that the gap is not too far.
As for Madrid, this is supposed to be an easy game for them with lot of goals to increase the goal difference which will be an advantage for them when the league becomes more intense. I know the earlier they close the gap the better but the league is just starting and I have no doubt in Real madrid.
