The USA see other nations as servants...and they are not interested about any free market because that would make those who are smarter or better to win they might create better services and better systems then USA has the banking the cryptocurrenciey exchangers and all the others... those who are in power now don't like that.
The Soviets didn't want that either, and they were much stricter and less permissive with their markets. The result? The Soviets produced far less at a higher cost compared to the Americans. Consequently, they came to recognize that a portion of the market needs to be free for them to enjoy prosperity.

As for the US viewing other nations as servants... it depends on how you define it. The US had the majority of the capital after World War II, giving it a tremendous advantage. Even after about 90 years, the US still holds most of the world's wealth, especially with the dominance of Big Tech being centered there. Needless to say that the American elite control the global reserve currency.
