Girona performance last season was very incredible which shocked the entire Laliga teams but I see that wonderful performances in them because the are not at any pressure that is they were only playing one competition which is Laliga unlike the remaining top three are engaged in 2 or 3 competition which can also be stressful for them, Girona have a all week to prepare for just one match that why they did what they DID, now the they are engage in Champions league now let see how good they are.

Girona sold their striker so i don’t think they will be able to give the same performance as last season, they might not be too bad but i don’t think they will challenge for the title this season.

Girona are now losing by 2 goals to nothing with Griezmann and Llorente giving ATM the lead. Not that Girona are playing awfully on this one but just a problem of a finisher lacking in the squad because by stats in this game they are ahead of ATM in goal attempts and ball possession yet they are two goal behind on a clean sheet scores. So it's actually seeming that Girona will be having a difficult season this time as a result of the absence of the players they sold without an equal talent replacement.

They have to face the music of the big mistake they make of selling their best players without getting a good replacement for the player. Statistically, they were ahead of Atletico Madrid even in possession and many other things but Atletico Madrid got more shots on target than them. They have lost one match and draw one match and are currently in the number 18th of the table, this is not a good way for them to start the season with but I think they can actually pull themselves through and climb up the table soon since the season is just starting. If they want to go far this season like they did in the last season, they need to convert as many chances as possible and get things done immediately just when they need to be done. Atletico Madrid has a clean sheet on them with three goals to nothing from them. I hope they improve in their next match because their performance here will tell how well they can also play and go far in the champions league race when it begins.
