I'm not a Roma fan but I will cheer for them in this European competition, of the Italian teams present they have the best chance of going all the way. I hope De Rossi will not disappoint his fans, their expectations are high but in the Europa League the competition is tight and everyone wants to get as far as possible. I hope well for them
Roma have qualified as a team to watch out for in this competition, despite just suffering a defeat in Serie A, but De Rossi will not allow his team to perform limply here. Roma's activity in the transfer market indicates that they are in the process of developing the team, quality players are starting to be brought in slowly in order to maintain competition at the top of Serie A and survive longer in the Europa League. Roma's performance has improved since being coached by De Rossi, their performance is not much different from Manchester United, I think they still have a chance as long as they can maintain their best.
De Rossi is really making this team work for every point, and I feel like they are going to do very well here too, but the reality is that Europa has some serious competition this season and they may not get what they want. It's clear that we are going to see something that will be very tough for these teams and that could be very confusing at this point and we could make some smaller team win. Look at last year, Atalanta won and nobody really saw that at all everyone had other teams that they thought would win and Atalanta was a big shock.
So between better teams than Roma, and possibility of an unexpected team to do better than expected, it will not be easy for them to get a win, or they could become the team that would be confusing and win it all. I am not considering that we are going to see this changing, because Roma isn't as good, I just feel like they are not good enough to win anything for the time being, but they are building a good club for the future.
