Hi Guys,
I'm curious to know if there is a cost of living crisis in your country and if you are feeling the effects of rising goods and services.
I'm Australian, and the inflation rate in 2023 was over 4%.
I have noticed significant increases for everyday essentials like food, petrol and utilities.
The cost of petrol is around $2.10AUD per litre, which is insane.
Let's hope things improve in the near future because the current state of things is unsustainable.
I can't say what the cost of living is like in different countries of the world but in my Bangladesh the price of daily necessities is so sky high that the common people are struggling to live. The prices of daily essentials are skyrocketing and so out of control that it becomes very difficult for a middle class family member to lead a normal life.
Rice $3/5kgs, potatoes $0.56/kg, Poultry $1.8/kg, Meat $7/kg , Soabean oil $1.6/kg, sugar $1.4/kg, petrol $1.27/ltr, eggs $0.5/4pics ,
In general, it is becoming impossible for a low and middle class family to live a normal life in Bangladesh. Corruption especially in the political circles and arbitrary arbitrariness of the judiciary are responsible for creating this situation for us.
I think almost all countries these days are experiencing extreme inflation where prices of goods and services are now inevitably high. And if you've got no job to provide you sustainable income, you'll be suffering from head to toe. But for those who have good and high paying jobs, they may still feel the inflation but certainly not that high since they can also afford those goods and services.
