The market is based on risk, and it has been said countless times that people should learn to invest only what they can afford to risk. So anyone that is investing in altcoins should know that by now. Such risks are not meant for small investors, they should only invest what they are certain would bring them profit in the future.
It's true that we see news about altcoins that made it huge, but that is not always the case, as most of them tends to become a failure when they are launched.
The altcoin market conditions also often change rapidly and I have also seen more altcoins fail when launched so that has made me not really like altcoins except for a few because everyone can't deny that there are also many successful altcoins. But for Bitcoin I have absolutely no offer because I am very confident and no longer doubt Bitcoin, but for altcoins I think almost everyone should see the level of risk so as not to immediately put all their money in altcoins even in altcoins that already look good.
I don't have much money to diversify my portfolio across different coins, Bitcoin being the only coin I currently rely on, nothing else. Altcoins are too risky for me, although other investors have different views on certain coins, but investing in Bitcoin will make me much calmer especially in the long term.
Altcoins are full of manipulation, it is very risky to hold them in the long term. Recently, Toncoin investors were shocked after its price continued to plummet following the arrest of Telegram's CEO by security authorities in Paris. The same incident with different cases may happen to other coins, I don't want to take risks that I can't afford, so investing in Bitcoin is the best choice for me.
