Manchester city was in their best performance last season because they became stable when Liverpool and Arsenal messed up their chance of leading the league. The fact is that Arsenal improved their performance and were consistent closing the gap between them and City but City didn't give up till the end.
Arsenal was able to take the lead twice but failed to win the league at least last season was better than two seasons ago because of their improvement in performance. This season is another season that I see Arsenal taking the lead again but I hope that they will be able to win the league this season after several attempts.
Arsenal have been picking up more points than the previous season every year and last season they picked up 89 points, in many years that would have been enough for the title, but to beat City they would have to do something extraordinary. I'm glad that bookmakers are now assessing this probability as real: City are quoted at 2.20 and Arsenal at 2.63. This is a far improvement from previous seasons when City were listed as 90% favorites for most of the tournament.
